DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special screening of Caregivers in the Wild! \nCaregivers in the Wild is a heartfelt series that follows real caregivers through the breathtaking wilderness of Canada as they share their personal journeys with caregiving. \nAt this screening\, we will be showing two new episodes of Caregivers in the Wild: \nThe Nature of Mindfulness (Sam’s Story) – “Since the age of nine\, Sam has been caring for his father who was diagnosed with a rare form of schizophrenia. Together with psychologist and mindfulness teacher/researcher\, Dr. Linda Carlson\, Sam goes backpacking near the arctic circle and learns how practicing mindfulness can help strengthen the resilience of young caregivers.” \nThe Nature of Hope (Lynne’s Story) – “After suffering a stroke\, Lynne’s husband was diagnosed with dementia\, and she watched his health decline quickly.
