DESCRIPTION:The Caregiver Support Community is a virtual program that aims to empower caregivers’ well-being by providing a supportive group where you can connect with other caregivers\, have open conversations about the ups and downs of caregiving\, and learn about topics relevant to caregivers. \nThis group is lead by a trained facilitator who is there to help guide your caregiving journey through education and support. \nThis program occurs on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. You must register to receive the Zoom link or phone number to join the group. \nNote: Registration is ongoing. DESCRIPTION:  \nCaregivers experience loss and grief from the moment this role happens upon them. From small losses to large ones\, let’s get the conversation started. Let’s talk about things no one talks about. Let’s get comfortable in our discomfort. Let’s reframe guilt and shame. And\, let’s find purpose again – whatever that might look like. \nTogether\, let’s create a safe space where grief is normalized\, where we can have conversations that can’t be held elsewhere\, where we can build connection\, where we can create compassionate communities\, where our mental health matters\, and where we can find purpose after loss. \nThis program will take place over six bi-weekly sessions on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m. \nProgram topics by session: \nApril 18 | Speaking the Taboo: Let’s Have a Conversation \nMay 2 | Good Grief\, Bad Grief: No Such Thing \nMay 16 | An Array of Emotions: You Are Not Crazy \nMay 30 | Walking with Grief: Hold Yourself in the Uncomfortable \nJune 13 | Reframe the Shame: Understand the Power of Guilt \nJune 27 | What Now?
