The Hidden Caregivers: Children, Youth, and Young Adults in Alberta

This event has passed.

Join us on July 28th for a provincial forum on young caregivers in Alberta!

Do you help care for your grandpa with dementia? Do you help look after your sibling with Cerebral Palsy? Do you support your mother who has MS by helping cook and clean? You are a young caregiver.

But what does the term ‘young caregiver’ really mean? Join us for our 60 minute interactive online forum as we welcome youth from the Young Caregivers Association, along with Michelle Lewis (Executive Director, YCA).

Learn about who young caregivers are, the unique challenges they face, and how we as a province can best support them.

If you think you may be a young caregiver, are a parent to one, or if you are a professional who works with families and children- this is not a forum you want to miss!

“Young caregivers are the hidden army of family caregivers helping to keep their loved ones at home.” (Young Caregivers Association)
